I’ve been writing stories for as long as I’ve known how to write. My first story ever was titled “The Scary Scwad,” about a fridge that came to life and started eating people. While my spelling has improved over the years, the general level of absurdity in my fiction has remained consistent.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, with degrees in English (Creative Writing) and Sociology.
In 2018, I suffered an aortic dissection, which is virtually unheard of in men in their 30s, and the survival odds are… not great. After coming out the other side of that, I realized I couldn’t keep treating writing as “something I’ll get to later.”
I’m now finally sharing my stories with the world, releasing new chapters of the Planar Gates saga as soon as they’re ready.
My author journey led me to discovering Laterpress, and I’m fortunate to be a member of the team helping create a publishing tool authors can use to put their work directly in front of their fans, and make better royalties for it. I never imagined I’d have a job that so perfectly combines my love of books, authors (as creative people), and my own indie author ambitions. I consider myself blessed!
